Nehemiah

While serving as a cupbearer to the King of Persia, Nehemiah received permission from Artaxerxes to fortify Jerusalem, and serve as governor of Judah for two terms. Despite temperamental shortcomings, Nehemiah was a man of good practical sense combined with deep faith in God.
